A Call to Action

post image

Yesterday President Barack Obama was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

Much to Obama’s astonishment, he says this honor lends momentum to the cause of peace. The announcement touched off public debate about what Obama has done to deserve the prize. To me it is not surprising at all. We are blessed to have a bold, fearless president who is ready to rock the boat and push for change in a world that has been so focused on selfish ideals and fulfilling personal agendas under the guise of public office.

From his earliest days on the campaign trail, Obama pledged to place diplomacy ahead of confrontation in world affairs. The Nobel committee specifically commended him for extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. They cited his push for nuclear disarmament, his outreach to the Muslim world and his role in embracing multilateralism in international politics.

Obama is a shining example of the power of intent. While he has yet to accomplish measurable outcomes, we must recognize that it is not always a matter of what one accomplishes each day, but more importantly a matter of what one represents.

Our planet is shifting. We represent a global community that is ready to live in peace. Obama, as the leader of one of the most powerful nations on this planet, has stepped to the forefront of that stream of collective consciousness. He joins a world that desperately wants to see each other as equals. When he was elected, I saw Obama as more than just our President, I recognized him as an international beacon for transformation.

It is time for you to step into this ‘being’ of global consciousness. Embody that stream of peace, love and co-operation. Embrace a reality of collaboration, of brotherhood and sisterhood. Our eventual destiny is to merge into an infinite ocean of oneness.

So now the weight of this prestigious honor and the hope for its intent is passed on to you as a citizen of this planet. Let’s honor Obama and understand that we are standing on the shoulders of other beacons of peace who laid the foundation for what is transpiring today… Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and the Dalai Lama (to name just a few).

Every generation has promised to leave the world a better place than the way they inherited it. We are the ones who will actually realize this goal. Our work has just begun.
With every session and every personal transformation we move one step closer to our unified vision of global harmony. I have committed my life to pressing forward until we overcome every obstacle to bring our new earth into being.

Everything is possible. Embrace your responsibility. Fulfill your promise to make peace a reality for us and a legacy for those who will follow.

Perfectly said Panache!!!
As our President stated from the very beginning!

“I’M ASKING YOU TO BELIEVE.
Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington….I’m asking you to believe in yours.”~Barack Obama

Panache, I’m so inspired by your comments. You are truly eloquent at expressing everything I feel about the President! I even wrote to President Obama congratulating him and mentioned your blog.

Here is what I wrote. Maybe he’ll invite you to the White House for a session! Wouldn’t THAT be something!! Everything is possible!!

Dear President Obama,

I’m so proud of the honor bestowed on you, our wonderful president. Thank you for standing by high-minded, lofty principles in this day of ‘old consciousness’, rhetoric and hateful politics. Please continue your policies of peaceful understanding and rebuilding our country from the past 8 years.

God bless you and your beautiful family for standing for all of the good that America is.
Thank you for your service to our country.

I know that you will be interested in the blog from a awakened spiritual teacher I follow named Panache Desai who speaks of you as an international beacon for transformation of the planet. I wholeheartedly agree. Here is the blog from www.PanacheDesai.com
(I copied and pasted the blog that appears here.)

Thank you for everything you stand for, and every good quality you possess. The International community and Americans everywhere are deeply grateful to you.

Sincerely,

Thank you, Panache.  Beautifully said.  Let us also, just as Obama is doing, be the change we wish to see in the world.

Panache,

I appreciate your work and what you do.  However, as you have said at every event I have attended of yours, we all need to be who we really are.  This Obama worship piece of yours is misguided.  This man is a coward, a liar, a phony and nothing but another typical politician who will do and say anything to get elected and stay in power.

You are who you associate with in life.  This man has the most appalling circle of friends, acquaintances, advisors, and associates I have ever seen in a President.  I do not know of any campaign promises he has actually kept since he got elected.  Within 24 hours of being sworn in he broke his supposed cardinal campaign promise of not bringing any lobbyists into his administration.  I have seen countless youtube.com videos of him constantly contradicting himself, reversing positions from one day to the next, and denying he took or said certain positions when the video shows otherwise.  Politicians for decades on both sides of the isle have constantly lied their asses off in their pursuit of power.

Fortunately in the youtube.com and internet age it is no longer possible to get away with these kinds of transgressions against the intelligence of the American people.

The Iraq war was a mistake.  Even some of General Petraeus’s top advisors who are the worlds foremost experts in counterinsurgency state this.  However, we are there.  We invaded that country and abandoning it is simply not an option after our troops built friendships with the Iraqi people and promised to protect them from the evil and misguided head-choppers.  As lousy of a President as Bush was, he got the surge and change in strategy right.  He let our troops win instead of abandoning them to certain slaughter at the hands of the diabolical enemy we were fighting.

We are now employing the same strategy in Afghanistan.  Our troops have promised the Afghan people that they will stay and protect and mentor them.  If we leave they and their families will be slaughtered by the Taliban.

Cowards in congress during the 1970’s abandoned the South Vietnamese to be slaughtered by the communists in another war that should have never happened.  Thousands of Vietnamese were slaughtered when Saigon fell.  My Dad and my uncle (his brother) fought and lost many friends there.  Next door in Cambodia the khmer rouge SLAUGHTERED over 2 million people.  Sawing off the heads of anyone with an education with the sharp branches of a native palm tree instead of shooting them because it was a more painful way to kill them!  Khmer rouge followers took infants by the legs and slammed their little defenseless bodies up against trees splattering their brains out.

Most wars should never happen.  However, when we send the worlds most honorable military into a country, they need to be given the tools, money, protection, support, and resources to win the peace and leave the country better than we found it.

I have a friend that got blown up in Iraq in 2006.  He lost an eye and spent 1 ½ years in Walter Reed Medical Center recovering.  I have had several others that have been in both the Afghan and Iraqi theaters.  We must finish the mission and come home in victory and honor.

I am all for love and light.  However, humanity as a whole is not sufficiently enlightened and aware of their divinity for world peace to be a reality.  There are still bad people in the world who act like savages.

Until the golden age is truly here I take great comfort in knowing that “Good people sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf”-George Orwell

Obama and most of the politicians (democrats and republicans) in this country are morally and criminally corrupt.  They could give two shits about you or I.  They care about money and power.  They continue to spend and bankrupt our country while lining the pockets of their special interests and cronies.

Obama has been dicking around for months about sending the Troops needed to turn the tide in Afghanistan.  His indecisiveness emboldens the head choppers which on a daily basis prolongs the war and costs the lives and limbs of our Troops and the innocent civilians.

The democrats in their lust for power cost the lives of countless Troops and Iraqi civilians as they fought President Bush on the surge that won the war.

Until you have the ability to go over to meet with the head-choppers and make them see the light and lay down their arms and make peace with themselves, their people, and our troops, I am going to trust the US Military and our Allies to continue to separate the reconcilibles from the irreconcilibles and end this war honorably.  We have the correct strategy to win the Afghan war and bring peace to the region.  Counterinsurgency is simply building friendships.  Our Nations Finest are their doing it day in and day out with almost no acknowledgment or support.  The Afghan people want us there and are terrified we will abandon them.

I know you meant well, but this post simply does nothing to enlighten or help wake people up to the truth.  As it has been so eloquently said, the truth shall set you free.

You are a leader and a person who many people look up to.  Most will blindly believe what ever you say because they trust you.

Before you speak or endorse a politician, you need to spend the time finding out and researching the facts and not just regurgitating what the corrupt and dishonorable media spews forth as news and journalism.  Most of the people in the media are phony and inauthentic.  They can not tell truth from falsehood and therefore continue to unknowingly and sometimes deliberately mislead the American People.  Like Obama they are simply good at reading a teleprompter.

Otherwise you simply are contributing to keeping the American People from finding out the truth by endorsing such dishonorable people as Obama.  It prolongs our collective suffering as people that would have woken up to the truth are left believing BS instead of taking their country back.

As Thomas Jefferson said: “Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day.”

I am ready for world peace and a brotherhood of humanity.  However, there is much work to do.  Let’s leave it to the professionals who are fighting and dying every day to finish their mission.

Love in action
