A New America

Whether you voted for change or not we have it.  This nation is at the leading edge of our planet’s evolution and with the inauguration of President Barack Obama the direction we are headed is set.

President Obama delivered his inaugural address one week ago today and in doing so set in motion an energetic chain of events that is in perfect harmony with my message as well as the message of all who have come before me. I am honored to play my part in the unification of America and support our country in becoming a beacon of light and truth for the world.

In his address our new President shared: “We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to chose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.”

President Obama’s message echoes one that I delivered at a public address in Chicago last September and subsequently went on to become the title for my first album: A Conversation for Change.

We are alive at a time like no other. We are here to create a shift like no other. The time for change is now and that change begins and ends with each one of us. Today we live in a world where we see one another within the context of differences – differences in religion, beliefs, race, gender, socio-economic backgrounds, education, and on and on. The time has come to look beyond these differences and search for that which unites us. This begins with every American being empowered by freeing themselves of those energies that keep them living in a state of separation. When a human being has the experience of the truth of who they are, the illusion begins to dissolve. It is then that real change can be created. And with this deep shift, profound change can be sustained. We are here to illuminate every heart and soul that inhabits our planet with the message that at the deepest level we are all manifestations of one energy, one light and one love.

This will be our legacy.
