The End of Tyranny

The death of a tyrant does not mark the end of tyranny. It serves to offer those affected by tragedy closure, however, it does not address the greater global issue of why these tragedies happen. The only way to end the cycle of conflict on this planet is through a shift in the collective consciousness. And that happens by embracing all forms of conflict within ourselves.
Since 2000 alone, countless hundreds of thousands have died across the globe due to political and/or religious differences. Many of them have been innocent women and children. You would think that by now we as a species would have evolved into higher forms of conflict resolution, however, we continue to live in a reality of blame and self-righteousness. It is someone else’s fault and, as a result, people continue to act out the roles of aggressor and victim.
We have entire populations still at odds over ancient feuds that began thousands of years ago as disputes over land, money and power. Our current climate of conflict originates from the past and continues to be perpetuated by generation after generation fuelled by hatred, distrust and vengeance. As long as we continue to see each other as separate, these conflicts will continue and our ability to make others wrong or less than will serve to justify our actions no matter how horrific.
Power without consciousness is a recipe for disaster. It doesn’t need to be this way. We can be the ones to end it for our children and future generations. The key factors required are a shift in consciousness from the egocentric “I” into the collective whole, partnered with accountability and responsibility. Through open lines of communication and the continual coming together of the ever-increasing conscious minority, we can turn the tide.
I am asking you to please take a stand against global conflict by continually embracing it within yourself. What happens within you affects everyone around you, and ripples out to the collective consciousness.
Join me in Kansas City on May 13 – 15 at “The Heart of Possibility” to leverage the focused intention and power of the conscious minority and end separation on the level of collective belief so that we may see our world begin to embrace each other from the space of the heart, where we are all one.
I cannot do this alone. I need your help. If not now, when, and if not us, who?
