The Importance of Fun in Your Daily Life

post image

As you move into higher and higher states of embodied being it is important to embrace balance in all aspects of life.

The path of Ascension intensifies everything that you are experiencing. You are being pushed through your content at a rate that may feel overwhelming. I know that there are days you feel tired and burned out and moments when you want to wave a white flag petitioning the powers that be for a brief respite. In just one day many of you feel as though you have lived an entire week. This process can wear on the physical, mental and emotional aspects of your being. And in the insightful words in Stephen King’s adaptation of his book The Shining, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!”

Today I want to remind you of the importance of having fun.

What fills your heart with joy? What is your passion?

How much time do you dedicate to it?

For some fun may come in the form of gardening or cooking; for others a walk in nature or spending time next to the water. Do you long to sit and paint with pastels or watch back-to-back movies? Is your passion early-morning hiking or sleeping in late and lazing with a great book? Some who live life to the extreme may long to sky-dive or ski double black diamonds. The choices are infinite.

Having trouble coming up with something? In light of all that is going on in life, does the thought of taking time for a playful activity feel indulgent? Baby step your way into it. It is every bit as crucial to your growth as any spiritual practice. Take 15 minutes in the morning and step outside to listen to the birds sing. Be fully present. Take a walk at night and stop to taste a new flavor of ice cream. Indulge in the experience. Even those on a tight budget can find ways to let their souls soar. Be creative and let your inner child shine. Make your reality your playground.

Finding balance is now more important than ever. It is time to find your joy and to actively dedicate a portion of your day to the pursuit of happiness. Having fun is an important part of this journey. Taking time to pursue your brand of joy revitalizes and reinvigorates you for the rest of the ride. When you immerse yourself in an activity that makes your soul sing you radiate your joy into the world.

Now get out there and have fun!

It’s been so long…. I don’t remember what really brings me joy… what is my passion.  There is something I really want, but am told it can not be until I realize my true self.  Until then…????

Looking forward to seeing you, and transforming, on Wednesday.

Maybe I’ll take a walk outside….
