You Raise Me Up To All That I Can Be

I have always heard that the people in our lives are blessings, but I had no idea how true a statement that was until I met my wife, Jan, almost four years ago.
I am who I am today because of my wife’s unfaltering belief in me and what I am here to share. We each need a cheerleader, someone who holds the highest vision of who we are here to be; who, through their loving support, encourages our innate abilities to shine forth.
Jan is to me what I have the honor and pleasure of being for the world, a loving reminder that we are not defined by our labels and past experiences, but in fact something far greater. She reminds me to stretch and grow and that nothing is ever truly out of reach. She provides the foundation and structure to soar into the fullest expression of grace that I can be. In doing so, I am able to inspire an entire planet to do the same.
My presence in your life has unfolded through Jan’s desire to live on a planet free of pain and suffering. The acceleration facilitated through me is due to her commitment and love.
One of the many emotional moments from our wedding celebration, two years ago this weekend, unfolded as a magnificent and inspiring gospel choir sang You Raise Me Up. Jan selected this piece as a tribute to me and the life we were creating together. I was so touched. Now, how amazing that two years later she is that exact reflection for me?
I have yet to realize the fullness of the blessing that is my wife, Jan, however I am happy to be able to say I have an entire lifetime to find out.
Happy Anniversary, Jan.
