You know the lesson of the 3-legged stool. If pristine it is sturdy, stable, steadfast and stalwart. But with even the slightest irregularity in one of its legs it becomes unstable, making balance impossible. And if one leg is cut off it is doomed to fall over.

From the moment of your birth your foundation is also anchored by three primary relationships: the sacred feminine or “mother” in your life; the sacred masculine or “father”; and the sacred source of ultimate power and presence, the God of your choosing.

A mother’s role is to provide unconditional love. A father‘s is to provide the confidence to feel safe and exercise the courage and security to be all that you are here to be. However, because the cycle of parenting has become enmeshed in separation, we know that the majority of these primary relationships fall far short of the ideal. Most of us carry the perceived marks, scars and shortcomings of these failed relationships well into our adulthood.

With each shortfall along the path of growing up, unexpressed emotional experiences become trapped within your system creating vibrational density. The longer you hold on to the stories of a parent who never accepted you for you or loved you for your authentic self or held you hostage through some form of abuse, you are as much an instigator of pain and suffering today as the trauma that unfolded years ago.

Furthermore, how could any God bear witness to what unfolded in your life?  The absence of an omnipotent, omniscient source of unconditional love that failed to sweep down and balance the scales of right and wrong and rescue you created more vibrational density as this overwhelming perceived abandonment convinced you of your own powerlessness and unworthiness. This perceived Divine abandonment and rejection renders you unable to truly receive all you desire cutting you off from your own power, the exact mirror of the 3-legged stool whose leg is severed and can no longer stand.

How much unexpressed emotion, deep sadness, righteous anger, or unmanageable rage do you still carry around the relationships with your mother, father and/or God?
